Our Methodology:
MTGeo offers a spectrum of services that are relevant, timely and cost-effective. Our renowned experience and research background allows us to continually improve the reliability and sensitivity of our analyses. We provide mineralogical and geochemical characterization using a combination of well-established analytical methods, coupled with advanced analytical instrumentation to ensure consistent and accurate analytical results . We specialise in qualitative and quantitative analyses of a wide range of materials: natural and man-maid, crystalline and amorphous; rocks, ores, drill core samples, mineral specimens, mine tailings, process residues, industrial products and waste materials, coal and fly ash, ceramic raw materials, ceramic body mixes and products, soils, engineering aggregates and concrete. Samples from a fragment the size of a rice grain and smaller to a sufficient volume representative of a stockpile can be scanned to produce high resolution data for evaluation and interpretation.

Analytical methods include but are not limited to X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy with EDS-Microanalysis (SEM/EDS). We can assist with broader range of specialized characterization techniques, such as Petrographic services, Infrared and Raman spectroscopy, TGA/DTA, ICP-AES, ICP-MS, AAS, BET, etc.
Our Project Approach:
Initial client consultation to review project goals and objectives, trouble areas and solution expectations, relevant geological information, or any background information on the problem and/or material
Discuss the analysis plan and testing methodology, required samples and extent of characterisation
Discuss time schedule, pricing, and reporting
